The Homsee Modern Double-Sided Kitchen Island measures 61.4" W × 29.5" D × 37.4" H, with a 2"-thick countertop. At just over 5 feet long, it sits in the common 5–7 foot range for a medium kitchen island: large enough for prep and casual meals, compact enough for many open-plan kitchens.

As a freestanding island, it needs no plumbing or permanent installation, and the full 61.4" × 29.5" top doubles as a prep station, breakfast bar or a second workspace for homework and remote work.

Plan for at least 36" (3 feet) of clear walkway on every side of the island, and 42–48" if two people cook at once or the aisle leads to appliances. Behind the seating side, 42–44" lets people walk past seated guests.

For this 61.4" × 29.5" island, a 36" clearance means an open floor area of roughly 133" × 102" (about 11 ft × 8.5 ft) between your counters, walls or furniture. Measure the space with painter's tape on the floor before ordering.

The back of the island is a dedicated seating side for two people. Designers allow about 24" of counter length per seat, and the 61.4" top gives each of two guests more than that.

At 37.4" tall, the island works with counter-height stools, typically with a seat height of about 24–27" (10–12" below the countertop). Counter seating is most comfortable with about 12–15" of knee space, so pick backless or low-back stools that tuck under the top and don't block the walkway.

The storage side has 2 drawers and 2 enclosed cabinets with adjustable shelves, while the opposite side stays clear for seating.

Built-in cable routing keeps the power cord tucked out of sight. Place the island close enough to a wall outlet for its power cord to reach.

No. The island is built from MDF with a stone-look countertop and a hand-painted finish, so you get the speckled stone appearance without the weight or sealing that natural stone needs. The surface is water-, stain-, mold- and mildew-resistant.

Wipe it clean with mild soap and water and dry it afterward. Use a cutting board for knife work and a trivet under hot pans, since engineered wood surfaces aren't designed for direct heat or cutting.

Yes. The island ships flat-packed in 2 boxes:

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total).
