Black Walnut Solid Wood Desk

The Homsee Black Walnut Desk measures 83.8" W × 35.4" D × 31.1" H, far wider than a typical 48–60" home office desk. That's room for two monitors, a laptop, a printer and paperwork, or two people working side by side.

Under the top, the legs are about 65" apart along the length and 32.3" apart across the width, so office chairs roll in without hitting corner legs.

The desk is 31.1" tall, slightly above the common 28–30" desk height. For typing, set your chair so your elbows rest at about 90° with forearms level with the desktop; with a taller desk that usually means raising the seat a little and using a footrest if your feet don't sit flat.

The extra height suits taller users and leaves more knee clearance under the top.

Yes. At 83.8" long, the desk gives each person about 42" of workspace, enough for a laptop or monitor, keyboard, mouse and notebook. The 35.4" depth keeps screens at a comfortable arm's-length viewing distance with space in front for writing.

It also works as a shared homework, craft or sewing table, and the same design is sold as the Black Walnut Dining Table if you'd like it to double for meals.

The desktop is rated for 330 lbs, well above what a full home office setup weighs. Dual monitors on arms, a desktop tower, printer, speakers and reference books fit comfortably within that limit.

Spread heavy equipment across the surface and over the legs rather than concentrating it at one unsupported edge, and don't sit or stand on the desk.

It's built to stay steady. A reinforced steel frame and four anti-deformation crossbars support the long top, while metal corner brackets and triangular reinforcement panels tie the apron to the thick 5.9" × 1.6" legs.

Felt pads on each foot protect the floor. For the steadiest feel, place the desk on a level floor and re-tighten the hardware every few months.

The desk has a clean top with no built-in grommets, so the tidiest approach is under-desk management: an adhesive or screw-mount cable tray along the back apron, cable clips, and a power strip mounted under the top.

Push the desk close to a wall outlet, run cords down one back leg with a cable sleeve, and keep the 83.8" surface clear for work.

Dust the desk regularly with a soft cloth and wipe spills right away; light water marks and everyday spills wipe off easily. Use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners, and avoid excessive moisture as well as very dry air from a heater vent pointed at the desk.

Use a desk mat under your mouse and keyboard and coasters under drinks to protect the black walnut-tone finish, and keep the desk out of prolonged direct sunlight.

Yes. The desk ships in one box (91.34" × 22.83" × 10.83", 129.19 lbs), so plan for two people to carry it. Assembly takes about 45 minutes with a screwdriver.

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. The item must be unused, unassembled, undamaged and in its original packaging, so keep the boxes until you're sure it's right for you.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total). Furniture bought on homsee.com has a 2-year limited warranty covering materials and manufacturing defects, structural frame parts, workmanship, and non-lighting electronic components. Fabrics, seat cushions, leather covers and LED lighting are covered for 1 year.
