The set includes 6 chairs, so it seats 6 out of the box. The table seats up to 8 people, so you can add chairs later. The same chair is sold separately in sets of 2, 4, 6 or 8 and matches this set exactly.

Choose a set size based on the people you seat every day, then plan extra chairs for guests if you host often.

The top measures 90.5" L × 39.9" W and is a long rounded rectangle (racetrack shape) with fully curved ends, 1.6" thick. "Round pedestal" refers to the base: two 19.7"-diameter fluted column pedestals, with the top extending about 11.8" beyond each column.

The assembled table weighs 202.8 lbs, so it stays put and feels solid.

Plan for a room of at least 13.5 ft × 9.3 ft (about 163" × 112"). That gives the recommended 36" of clearance around the 90.5" × 39.9" top for pulling out chairs.

Allow 42–48" on any side where people walk behind seated diners. The curved ends soften traffic flow, so the table fits a long room more easily than a square-cornered one of the same size. Measure the room and any furniture that stays before you order.

The tabletop is rated for 440 lbs. Two large fluted column pedestals carry the 1.6"-thick top, and felt pads under the bases protect floors and keep the table quiet if you shift it.

Upholstered chairs are generally more comfortable than hard wood seats for lingering meals, and the 18.5" seat depth suits most adults.

The chair is upholstered in soft Dutch velvet in an ivory white tone, over a metal frame with gold-tone legs.

To keep it looking fresh:

The table and chairs come with their own manuals. The chairs are rated easy, about 15 minutes each. The table box is the challenge: it weighs 340 lbs, so arrange at least two or three helpers, or unpack the parts where the box is delivered and carry them in one at a time.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total).
