Plank Office Desk

The Homsee Plank table measures 83.9" L × 39.4" W × 31.1" H, with a 1.6"-thick two-piece top. It stands on two wide black trapezoid pedestal legs set in from the ends, and weighs about 116 lbs.

The 39.4" depth is generous for a dining table, leaving room for serving dishes down the middle or a deep workspace, and at 31.1" it sits slightly above the standard 28–30" table height.

It's about 1–3" taller than the standard 28–30" desk height. Most people make it comfortable by raising an adjustable office chair until their elbows sit at about 90° over the keyboard, then adding a footrest if needed.

The extra height suits taller users. If you'd like to switch between sitting and standing, the Homsee Height Adjustable Standing Desk is the better fit.

The desktop measures 83.9" × 39.4", almost 7 feet long and deeper than most desks. Executive desks usually run 59–72" wide, so it fits a multi-monitor setup with the screens at a comfortable distance, plus room for documents and a lamp.

Two people can work side by side, or use the far end as a reading or meeting spot.

The desk has no built-in grommets, so add under-desk cable management to keep cords organized and the surface clutter-free:

• Mount a cable tray between the pedestal legs, under the back edge
• Run one power strip in the tray and a single cord down the back of a leg
• Use black cable clips, which blend into the black legs

The desk has no drawers, so add a rolling drawer unit or file cabinet for supplies.

The tabletop is rated for 220 lbs. A grid-style wood frame under the 1.6"-thick top supports the long tabletop from underneath and ties it to the trapezoid pedestal legs, and concealed connector caps hide the hardware. The design is built to resist wobble.

Like a trestle base, the two pedestal legs leave the long sides free for legroom. Felt pads under the legs protect floors, and chamfered edges soften the top. Check and tighten the hardware periodically.

The top has an aged-oak, distressed open-pore finish that lets the grain show through, paired with black legs. It's rated scratch-, stain-, fade- and warp-resistant.

• Wipe clean with mild soap and water, then dry with a soft cloth
• Avoid abrasive cleaners and don't let water stand on the surface
• Use coasters and placemats to protect the finish

The textured, distressed look is forgiving of small everyday marks, and with regular care a wood dining table can stay in daily use for decades.

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. The item must be unused, unassembled, undamaged and in its original packaging, so keep the boxes until you're sure it's right for you.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total). Furniture bought on homsee.com has a 2-year limited warranty covering materials and manufacturing defects, structural frame parts, workmanship, and non-lighting electronic components. Fabrics, seat cushions, leather covers and LED lighting are covered for 1 year.
