Arched Mixed Display & Storage Cabinet Set

The Homsee Grand Arched Modular Storage Display Wall Unit measures 92.5" H × 147.2" W × 18.9" D at the crown molding. The base footprint is 141.7" wide and 15.7" deep.

Plan for a wall at least 12.5 feet (about 150") wide with a ceiling of 8 feet (96") or more, which leaves about 3.5" above the crown. Keep outlets in mind: the lights plug in at the back of the cabinets.

It is a 3-piece cabinet set that lines up into one built-in-style wall:

• An arched glass-door display cabinet with 3 drawers
• A center double-arch open bookcase with 4 fluted drawers
• An arched cabinet with mixed storage: glass doors, open shelves, 3 drawers and 2 closed cabinets

Segmented crown molding joins the tops, and because the pieces stay freestanding, you can rearrange or move them later.

Across the three cabinets you get glass-door display shelves, lit open bookshelves, 10 drawers and 3 closed cabinets. The drawers come in three sizes, about 14.6", 31.4" and 31.5" wide and all 14.3" deep, so there is room for linens, media, games or files.

Hinged glass doors open wider than sliding doors for easy access and keep dust off collectibles, open arches show off books, and the drawers and cabinets hide the clutter that a living room or home library collects.

Each shelf board holds up to 22 lbs and each drawer holds up to 22 lbs, with the weight spread evenly. That's enough for a full row of paperbacks, a stack of plates or a group of ceramics on every shelf.

Put heavier books and stoneware on the lower shelves to keep the center of gravity low, and check the per-shelf limit before loading large art books.

LED strips light the shelves evenly, and small downlights at the top of the arches shine down for soft highlights and shadows. A 2.4G wireless remote controls them:

• Brightness at 100%, 50% or 25%
• Natural light (5500K), warm light (3000K) or low light for dim rooms
• A slow breathing light effect

The warm 3000K setting flatters wood, ceramics and old books, the natural setting shows true colors, and lower brightness cuts glare on the glass doors. LEDs run cool, use less energy than halogen or incandescent bulbs and give off very little UV light, which is gentler on items that can fade.

It is made of solid wood and manufactured wood, with solid pine panels, tempered glass doors and fluted drawer fronts. Tempered glass is much stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp shards. The surfaces resist water, stains, mold and mildew, and the unit is UL certified.

Its arched design earned the Archlight Library system a MUSE Design Award for combining storage, display and lighting in a freestanding piece that looks like custom built-ins.

Yes. Each 92.5"-tall cabinet must be secured to the wall, and anti-tip hardware is included. Fix each one into a wall stud or use anchors rated for your wall type, and get professional advice if you're unsure.

Open one drawer at a time, keep heavier items on the lower shelves, and never let children climb on the shelves, doors or drawers.

The wall unit ships in 7 boxes. The longest are 97" long, and the heaviest weighs 121 lbs, so plan for two people and clear hallways on delivery day.

Assembly takes about 4 hours (240 minutes) in total. Besides the included hardware, you'll need a pencil, a hammer and a screwdriver. Each cabinet has its own manual: glass-door cabinet (PDF), center bookcase (PDF) and mixed-storage cabinet (PDF).

Treat the three cabinets as one composition. Put fine china, glassware and fragile collectibles behind the glass doors, and use the open center arches for books mixed with a few larger objects, such as vases, bowls or framed photos.

Stack some books horizontally to break up long rows, leave a little empty space on each shelf, and repeat one or two colors across the wall. Turn the lights to warm and 25–50% in the evening so the wall works as soft ambient lighting.

Wipe surfaces with a soft, dry cloth and clean spills promptly. Clean the glass doors with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner, and avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and excess moisture.

Use protective pads under heavy or rough items, don't overload shelves or drawers beyond 22 lbs, and check and tighten the hardware from time to time so each cabinet stays secure.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total). Furniture bought on homsee.com has a 2-year limited warranty covering materials and manufacturing defects, structural frame parts, workmanship, and non-lighting electronic components. Fabrics, seat cushions, leather covers and LED lighting are covered for 1 year.
