Two-Tone Solid Wood Desk

At 31.1", it sits slightly taller than the standard 28–30" table height, which gives tall diners and users extra knee room.

It's about 1–3" taller than the standard 28–30" desk height, with 29.6" of clearance under the top. Most people make it comfortable by raising an adjustable office chair until their elbows sit at about 90° over the keyboard, then adding a footrest if their feet no longer rest flat.

The extra height suits taller users and leaves plenty of room to cross your legs or slide in a drawer cart. If you want to switch between sitting and standing, the Homsee Height Adjustable Standing Desk is the better fit.

The desktop measures 83.8" × 35.4", almost 7 feet of surface. That's more than most executive desks, which usually run 59–72" wide. It holds a dual-monitor setup, a laptop, a lamp and paperwork at once.

Two people can work side by side, each with about 42" of width. The 42.7" gap between the panel legs leaves open legroom along the front.

The desk has a clean, open top without built-in grommets or a cable tray, so the best approach is to add your own under-desk organization:

• Mount a cable tray or basket under the back edge of the top
• Use adhesive cable clips to route cords down the inside of a panel leg
• Put a power strip in the tray so only one cord runs to the wall

Because the panel legs are at the ends, cords can drop straight down behind the desk without crossing your legroom. Good cable management keeps the surface clutter-free. The desk has no drawers, so add a rolling drawer unit or file cabinet for supplies.

Yes. Each end is supported by a double-panel leg, two wide wood panels joined at a right angle (11.8" × 10.2") that brace the top from side to side, with support rails under the tabletop.

Panel and trestle-style bases also leave more legroom than four corner legs. Felt pads on the bottom of the legs protect floors and keep the table quiet when it's moved. Sturdy legs and solid joinery are what keep a dining table from wobbling, so check and tighten the hardware periodically.

The table pairs a light natural-oak top with red oak-tone legs, in an open-grain finish that keeps the wood texture visible.

To keep it looking its best:

• Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and clean up spills right away
• Use coasters, placemats or trivets under hot dishes and drinks
• Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and excess moisture
• Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to reduce fading

Yes. Assembly takes about 45 minutes with a screwdriver and a wrench. The table ships in one box (90.55" × 25.98" × 8.46", 133.38 lbs), so plan for two people to carry it in and to lift the top onto the legs.

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. The item must be unused, unassembled, undamaged and in its original packaging, so keep the boxes until you're sure it's right for you.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total). Furniture bought on homsee.com has a 2-year limited warranty covering materials and manufacturing defects, structural frame parts, workmanship, and non-lighting electronic components. Fabrics, seat cushions, leather covers and LED lighting are covered for 1 year.
