The set includes 6 chairs, so it seats 6 out of the box. With 6 chairs, the set already fills the table's full seating, at about 24–30" of table length per diner.

Each chair has a 19.3" seat height, inside the standard 17–23" range for dining chairs, and an 18.5"-deep cushioned seat. Choose a set size based on the people you seat every day, then plan extra chairs for guests if you host often.

The Homsee Oval-End table measures 70.9" L × 29.5" W × 31.1" H and weighs 102.6 lbs. The top is a long rectangle with fully rounded, oval-shaped ends, set on two wide panel pedestals.

At 31.1", it sits slightly above the standard 28–30" table height, and the slim 29.5" depth suits narrower dining rooms, kitchens and breakfast areas better than a typical 36"-deep table.

Plan for an open floor area of about 143" × 102" (roughly 12 ft × 8.5 ft). That leaves the recommended 36" of clearance on every side of the 70.9" × 29.5" top, enough to pull chairs out and walk around.

If a sideboard stands along one wall, measure the 36" from the front of the sideboard, and allow 42–48" where people walk behind seated diners. Measure the room and the furniture that stays, then mark the outline with painter's tape before ordering.

The tabletop is rated for 440 lbs. Two wide panel pedestals carry the top, black stainless steel trim wraps the tabletop edge and the leg sides to guard the veneer against wear and edge cracking, and felt foot pads protect the floor.

Rounded corners, chamfered edges and concealed connector caps reduce bumps and snags in daily use. Sturdy legs and solid joinery are what keep a table from wobbling, so check and tighten the hardware periodically.

The tabletop is finished in red oak veneer over a sturdy wood core, so it shows real open oak grain. The panel pedestals are solid pine, the frame is reinforced with solid rubberwood, and black stainless steel trim lines the top edge and the sides of the legs.

Solid wood expands and contracts as humidity changes, while veneer over a stable core stays flat through the seasons. Because the veneer is a thin surface layer, treat scratches with touch-up products rather than deep sanding.

The table has a light coffee open-grain finish with black stainless steel accents, rated scratch-, stain- and fade-resistant.

• Wipe clean with mild soap and water, then dry with a soft cloth
• Avoid abrasive cleaners and standing water
• Use coasters and placemats to protect the finish
• Wipe the metal trim with a dry cloth to keep it free of water spots

Dust regularly with a soft cloth. The open oak grain also helps hide small everyday marks.

Yes. The seat is filled with 24D high-resilience foam that rebounds after you stand up, so it resists sagging and keeps its shape with daily use. The thick padded cushion, the wide upholstered backrest and the slightly raised side arms give a wrapped-in feel for long dinners and conversations.

Upholstered chairs are generally more comfortable than hard wood seats for lingering meals, and the 18.5" seat depth suits most adults.

The chair is upholstered in soft Dutch velvet in an ivory white tone, over a metal frame with gold-tone legs.

To keep it looking fresh:

• Vacuum regularly with a soft brush attachment to remove dust
• Spot clean with a clean, slightly damp cloth and a mild cleaner, and blot spills right away
• Don't soak the fabric or use bleach, abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals
• Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight to reduce fading

Check and tighten the hardware from time to time so the chair stays steady.

The table takes about 45 minutes with a hex key and a wrench, and the velvet chairs are rated easy, about 15 minutes each in the chair manual. Plan for two people: the table box alone weighs 121 lbs.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total).
