6-Door Kitchen Island with Storage and Seating Space

The 35.4" height lines up with standard 36" kitchen counters, so the island reads as part of your kitchen rather than a separate table.

Allow at least 36" (3 feet) of clear walkway on every side, and 42–48" in a busy kitchen or where two people cook. On the seating side, 42–44" lets people pass behind seated guests.

The back of the island has an integrated overhang for counter stools. Designers allow about 24" of counter length per seat, so the 94.5" top fits three counter stools comfortably, with extra elbow room for each person.

Because the island is 35.4" tall, choose counter-height stools with a seat height of about 24–26", roughly 10–12" below the top. Counter seating is most comfortable with about 12–15" of knee space, and stools that tuck fully under the overhang keep the walkway clear.

The base is all closed cabinet storage: six handle-free doors open into 3 large cabinets, each with a middle shelf rated for 25 lbs. Each cabinet is about 30.4" wide and 22" deep inside, enough for stacked pots and pans, Dutch ovens, mixing bowls and small appliances.

There are no drawers, so add drawer organizers or bins on the shelves for utensils and smaller items, and keep the heaviest cookware on the cabinet floor.

Each door has a 45° beveled edge that works as a built-in finger grip: pull from the angled edge and the door swings open. With no handles sticking out, the front stays flush, which keeps the marble-look surface uninterrupted and avoids snagging clothing in a busy walkway.

The doors close on soft-close buffer hinges, so they shut quietly without slamming, which also reduces wear on the cabinet frame over time.

No. The island is made from P2 MDF with a glossy, marble-look finish (Solari Marble Finish) on the top and panels. P2 refers to CARB Phase 2, the U.S. formaldehyde emission standard for composite wood. You get the gray veined marble look without the weight or sealing that natural stone needs.

The finish resists water, stains, mold and mildew. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, blot spills promptly, and use cutting boards and trivets instead of cutting or placing hot pans directly on the surface.

Yes. The island has a finished back and waterfall-style side panels in the same marble-look finish, so it looks complete from every angle and works as a freestanding center island or a room divider in an open-plan kitchen and dining area.

The gray marble look also contrasts well with wood or dark cabinetry, adding visual depth. Place the cabinet side toward your main work zone and the seating side toward the dining or living area. Set it on a level floor so the doors stay aligned.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total).
