The Homsee Modern Kitchen Island with Built-In Power Outlet and Dual-Level Tabletop measures 78.7" W × 41.9" D × 40.7" H overall. The raised top is 78.7" × 23.6" at 40.7" high, and the lower counter on the seating side is 70.8" wide, about 19.6" deep and 32.6" high.

That is close to the 4 × 8 foot island many planners consider ideal. Allow 36–48" of clear walkway on every side, about 151" × 114" of floor in total at 36".

The two-tier top separates jobs. The higher back counter keeps prep mess and small appliances out of sight of guests, while the lower counter on the other side works as a breakfast bar or casual dining ledge.

It also creates a natural spot for the built-in outlet strip on the step between the two levels, so a coffee maker or laptop can run right where people sit.

The seating side fits 3 stools, with a knee space about 68.5" wide and 25.6" tall under the lower counter. Designers allow about 24" of counter length per person, so 68.5" seats three comfortably.

Choose stools that tuck fully under the lower counter, and leave roughly 10–12" between the seat and the underside of the counter for comfortable legroom.

A UL-certified outlet strip with AC outlets and USB ports is set into the panel between the two levels, so you can plug in a coffee maker or blender and charge phones and laptops at the same time.

The island's power cord runs through a cable hole at the bottom of the cabinet to a nearby wall or floor outlet, which keeps the cord tidy. Place the island within reach of an outlet before you finish assembly, and don't run cords across a walkway.

The storage side has 6 drawers and 2 cabinets:

• Drawers in three sizes, from about 3.9" to 5.9" deep inside, each rated for 33 lbs, for cutlery, utensils, foil and baking tools
• Two side cabinets with adjustable shelves rated for 33 lbs, sized for stockpots, pans and small appliances

Soft-closing hinges keep the cabinet doors from slamming.

The cabinet is P2 MDF with a painted white finish, brushed metal handles and a stone-look worktop. It is engineered wood, not stone or solid wood, so it gives a marble-style look without the weight or sealing natural stone needs.

The surfaces resist water, stains, mold and mildew. Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry afterward. Use a cutting board for knife work and a trivet under hot pans.

Yes. It ships flat-packed in 4 boxes (the largest is 86.4" × 27.8" × 6.3" and 141.1 lbs), and the assembled island weighs 347.9 lbs, so plan for two people.

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. The item must be unused, unassembled, undamaged and in its original packaging, so keep the boxes until you're sure it's right for you.

Return shipping fees are deducted from the refund after inspection: $80 per package each way for courier delivery ($160 in total), or $300 per item each way for truck delivery ($600 in total). Furniture bought on homsee.com has a 2-year limited warranty covering materials and manufacturing defects, structural frame parts, workmanship, and non-lighting electronic components. Fabrics, seat cushions, leather covers and LED lighting are covered for 1 year.
